A new organization - Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova (ADBCM) was presented in the capital of Moldova. The association plans to raise funds for the needs of the Bessarabian Bulgarians, and its merging with the existing local Bulgarian organizations will allow it to solve the problems more effectively, the press release of the NGO noted.

The presentation took the form of a discussion forum, where representatives of the Association revealed in detail the idea of its creation and its goals. According to them, "the most important task of ADBCM is to unite the efforts of all Bulgarian organizations existing in Moldova to implement projects aimed at improving the quality of life of Bulgarians in Moldova".

Bulgarian Ambassador to Moldova Maya Dobreva, who was among the attendees, said that in her 33 years of work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she has never seen such a well-preserved Bulgarian community anywhere in the world, which can be credited to the Bulgarians, but also to the country in which they reside.

"Because not everywhere the conditions offer the possibilities to learn Bulgarian, to send teachers, not to be afraid to say that you are Bulgarians," Dobreva said.

In addition to the representatives of the Bulgarian Embassy, the discussion was also attended by Plamen Milanov, a member of ADBCM. Representatives of Bulgarian social organizations, who came to Chisinau from different localities in Moldova, expressed their hope for fruitful cooperation with the Association and submitted applications for membership.
