site.btaBulgarian and Italian Navy Hold Third Consecutive Staff Talks

Between January 16 and 18, the third consecutive staff talks between the Navy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Italy took place at the Headquarters of the Naval Forces, said on Thursday the press centre of the headquarters.

During the talks, naval cooperation between the two countries for the next two years and in the long term was discussed. The situation in the Black Sea due to the war in Ukraine, the presence of drifting mines and the resulting dangers related to them were discussed, as well as opportunities for assistance from the Italian side for the training of Bulgarian military sailors in the field of deep-sea diving descents, anti-mine warfare, naval aviation, infrastructure construction and operation of armaments and ammunition.
