In Southeast Serbia, GLAS Association Publishes Call for Proposals for Youth Initiatives

For yet another year, the GLAS Association in Bosilegrad, Southeast Serbia, has published a call for proposals for youth initiatives which will be funded by the Association's voluntary fund in 2024. The fund has BGN 15,045 which was raised at the 11th edition of the organization's fundraiser at the end of last year.

Along with Dimitrovgrad, Bosilegrad is home to the largest Bulgarian community in Serbia.

Proposals will be accepted from January 15 to March 1, 2024. The selected initiatives will be announced on March 11. The maximum amount per initiative will be BGN 2,000 and a minimum BGN 1,000. All Bosilegrad high school students are eligible to apply.

Thanks to this program, in the past few years, the GLAS Association has backed youth projects, including art workshop, environmental initiatives, Days of Bulgarian documentary cinema in Bosilegrad, a photography workshop titled "Bosilegrad: Then and Now", among many other projects.

This year, funding will be available for concerts, exhibitions, educational trips, workshops, presentations, performances, etc.; activities related to environmental protection; various social projects, including action to help the elderly, parentless children and other vulnerable people; as well as actions to combat alcoholism, drug addiction, violence and various forms of discrimination.
