site.btaUPDATED Emergency Landing at Sofia Airport Due to Death on Board
A Pegasus Airlines flight from Izmir, Turkiye, to Stansted, Britain, made an emergency landing at Sofia Airport around 12 noon on Thursday, BTA learnt from the airport's press centre.
The reason was the death of a passenger on board the plane. The Interior Ministry said that the deceased was a British national. He apparently died of natural causes.
The competent authorities are handling the case, the airport said.
