The film There by Stefan Shterev will be presented in Vienna on January 14 at 1 pm local time. The screening will take place at the cinema centre at Fleischmarkt 6, 1010 Wien, reported by the Melange Bulgaren blog of the Bulgarians in Austria.
The film There is an experimental a project by established photographer and videographer Stefan Shterev and features eight famous Bulgarian personalities, representatives of arts and science as silent actors. The camera follows the experience of these characters who say nothing about themselves. The film premiered on November 5 in Sofia.
The film features writer Georgi Gospodinov, directors Yavor Gurdev, Alexander Morfov, Galin Stoev, actor and director Marius Kurkinski, sculptor Pavel Koychev, physics teacher Teodosii Teodosiev and conductor Yordan Kamdzhalov.
Ditrector Stefan Shterev describes his project as focusing on "popular personalities who silently separate themselves from the power and dictates of their public image, from the world of their creative and social role and to sink as deeply as possible into themselves to the point of dissolving into large-scale natural landscapes".
