On Day 2 of his visit to Baku, Bulgaria's Youth and Sports Minister Dimitar Iliev visited modern sports facilities including the Palace of Water Sports and the Heydar Aliyev Sport and Concert Complex, Iliev's Ministry said on Wednesday. Iliev and his Azerbaijani counterpart Farid Gayibov participated in the 6th Solidarity Forum of Azerbaijani Volunteers dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev.

Meeting with Azerbaijani students who study Bulgarian at Baku Slavic University, Iliev advised them to be diligent and to make daily efforts to become successful individuals. "My advice to you is to realize as early as possible what your dream is and what you want to achieve. When you find the answer, your life will be much easier because you will have a clear path to your goal," he said. He added that opportunities would be sought for youth exchanges as part of the Ministry's youth policies.

More than 60 students study Bulgarian at Baku Slavic University. The young people are proficient in Bulgarian and are impressed with the good contacts between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

On the first day of his visit to Azerbaijan, Iliev and his Azerbaijani counterpart Farid Gayibov signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of youth and sports.
