National Winter Academy of GERB Youth Takes Place in Sliven

GERB leader Boyko Borissov participated in the GERB Youth National Winter Academy which took place in Sliven on Saturday. On December 3, GERB will celebrate 17 years of its establishment. The forum was attended by some 160 representatives of youth structures of GERB from all across the country.

The forum was opened by former Sofia mayor Yordanka Fandakova. "Young people are GERB’s main focus, our goal is to encourage them to be leaders who can enthuse," Fandakova addressed the participants. "GERB's youth organization has created leaders in various fields, taking for example the mayors of Stara Zagora and Vratsa. Many of the municipal councillors in various municipalities also came from the party's youth structures," she added.

MEP Asim Ademov of the European People's Party, who also attended the forum, stressed that in the upcoming European Parliament election all should work to restore Bulgaria's credibility, which, in his words, is seriously damaged.

Among the main topics of discussion were innovation, agriculture, local government and budget policies.
