site.btaExhibition in Pernik Showcases Female Violence Victims 

An exhibition, “Awakening between the Lines”, will be on in Pernik between December 1 and 10, the Pulse Foundation said. 
It shows works by 23 Bulgarian artists and their visual interpretations of stories, written by #ЖенитеSurvivors - the first ever Bulgarian community of women, who have survived emotional or physical violence. 
  
Following a creative writing course at the end of last year, the #женитеSurvivors created 30 flash fiction micro-stories. The final stories in English were edited by Will Buckingham and Hannah Stevens, and in Bulgarian by Nadezhda Radulova and Silvia Ivanova, with proofreading by Iva Koleva. 
 
The project “Awakening between the Lines” belongs to the Emprove Foundation. The exhibition has already been displayed at the Kvadrat 500 National Gallery and other Bulgarian cities. 
The exhibition is organized in partnership with the local and regional administration of Pernik. 

It will open at the historical building of the Mining Directorate.
