The overall hiking conditions in the mountains on Sunday are poor, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA. Hurricane winds are blowing in the area of Mount Botev and the temperatures in most places are below 0C.
There is a snow cover in some places at the high-lying mountain areas and the hiking trails are icy.
No incidents with hikers were reported over the past 24 hours, the MRS said.
