Health Minister Hristo Hinkov will hold a working meeting with the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, the Health Ministry said here on Monday.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday at the Ministry’s building, followed by a press briefing.
Hinkov and Kyriakides will discuss cooperation on a number of European Health Union priority issues, including the EU Cancer Plan and the Union's comprehensive approach to mental health. The visiting EU Commissioner's agenda also includes a meeting with representatives of NGOs working on the fight against cancer, the European Commission's representation in Sofia reported.
During her visit, Commissioner Kyriakides will also hold a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kiril Vatev, to discuss key priorities, including the EU's Farm to Fork strategy.
