The contract of the head coach of Bulgaria's national football team Mladen Krstajic and his staff was terminated by the Executive Committee of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) on Thursday.

BFU Technical Director Georgi Ivanov said the committee's decision was unanimous.

The main reason for the dismissal is the national team's unsatisfactory results in the European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024.

The name of the team's new head coach will be announced on November 1. BFU will convene a special briefing to introduce him.
