Bulgarian Eddie Penev won the 2023 Men’s Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup series in floor exercise by claiming victories in two of the six events in the tournament, the Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation said on Tuesday.

Penev, who lives and trains in the US, beat all his competitors in the events in Varna and Osijek (Croatia), collecting a total of 85 points. Krisztofer Mészáros (Hungary) was the runner-up with 80 points and Ahmet Onder (Turkey) finished third in the overall ranking with 65 points.

Another Bulgarian gymnast - Yordan Aleksandrov, won two third places in the final rankings in the parallel bars and vault events.
