Another 58 Romanian citizens returned to Romania from Israel on Saturday on a flight operated by a private airline, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is quoted as saying by AGERPRES on Saturday.

The mobile consular team of the Romanian embassy in Tel Aviv and the Romanian mission in Ramallah remains ready to provide consular assistance to Romanian citizens who want to return from Israel, the Ministry noted, calling on Romanian citizens in Israel to follow the recommendations of local Israeli authorities.

On Friday, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis held a telephone conversation with Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog, thanking Israeli authorities for the successful repatriation of 2,162 Romanian citizens.

Meanwhile, the Romanian Foreign Ministry confirmed yesterday the death of a second Romanian citizen in the Israel-Palestine conflict. Both of the dead held dual Romanian and Israeli citizenship.
