The Legendary Lands exhibition was opened Wednesday in Hall 1C of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) at 6 Shipka Street in Sofia on Wednesday. The exhibition presents the works of young still life artists Bilyana Tokmakchieva, Hanko Sedefchev, Kostadin Radichev, Denitsa Toncheva, Alexandra Nikolova and Mihail Gavrailov from the National Academy of Art (NAA). It was created within the fifth edition of the Zones of Contact project and will be on display until October 2, UBA said.

The works of the young still life artists were inspired by The Book of Legendary Lands by Umberto Eco.

The organizers of the event add that in November the paintings can also be seen in the historic Bayrakli Mosque in Samokov.

The project is realized with the partnership of the history museum in Samokov, NAA and UBA. The creative directors are NAA lecturers Emanuela Kovach and Atanas Atanasov, and the idea for its realization is Konstantin Kostov's. The Legendary Lands project is funded by the Debuts Programme of the National Culture Fund.
