Bulgaria's national tennis team lost 1:3 to Kazakhstan in the tie between the two teams from World Group I of the Davis Cup tournament, an unofficial world team tennis championship for men. Thus, the Bulgarian national team will play another tie to stay in World Group I, while Kazakhstan will play a playoff for a place in the World Group.

On Sunday, in the fourth match of the tie, Dimitar Kuzmanov (BUL) lost to world's 29th ranked player Alexander Bublik (KAZ) by 4:6, 6:7 (4). Earlier in the day, in the doubles match Alexander Donski and Alexander Lazarov secured Bulgaria’s only victory by beating Bublik and Aleksandr Nedovyesov 6:3, 6:3.

On Saturday, Timofey Skatov defeated Kuzmanov 3:6, 6:4, 6:3 while Yanaki Milev lost to Bublik by 4:6, 1:6.
