site.btaDeputy PM Gabriel to Coordinate Open Government Partnership Initiative for Bulgaria

The Council of Ministers Thursday appointed Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel coordinator for Bulgaria's participation in the Open Government Partnership multilateral initiative and Chair of this country's Coordination Council for the initiative.

The Open Government Partnership initiative, which involves 76 countries, aims to promote transparency, citizen empowerment, the fight against corruption and the use of new technologies in strengthening governance.

Bulgaria has been an active participant for 10 years now.
