Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel will chair the National Council for People with Disabilities, the government decided Wednesday. Labour Minister Ivanka Shalapatova and Health Minister Hristo Hinkov will be deputy chairs. In addition each ministry is represented by one deputy minister on the Council.
The National Council for People with Disabilities is an advisory body which helps draw up and implement policies for the rights of people with disabilities. Represented on the Council are the government, organizations of people with disabilities, employees, employers and the local authorities.
