At a closed session, the cabinet appointed eight new regional governors - of Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Pazardzhik, Razgrad, Ruse, Smolyan and Shumen.
Plamen Yanev, who has been acting as deputy governor, is now the new governor of Burgas.
