site.btaBulgaria, South Korea to Invigorate Cooperation in Automotive, Energy Sectors
Bulgarian Economy and Industry Minister Bogdan Bogdanov and the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Jongin Bae on Friday discussed the opportunities for deepening bilateral economic relations, Bogdanov's Ministry said in a press release.
The two talked about the potential for cooperation between their countries in the automotive and energy sectors, information and communication technologies, health care and innovations.
The Minister and the Ambassador both pledged to work actively for broadening trade and for opening new opportunities to investors of the two countries.
Bogdanov stressed the the Republic of Korea is a priority partner of Bulgaria in Asia. "We seek a strategic partnership with you in sectors that are key to Bulgaria," he said.
In his words, Bulgaria can turn into a centre for the manufacture of energy storage systems.
The Economy Minister said that Korean companies can gain key access to the European markets by launching manufacturing operations in Bulgaria and added that the companies can position themselves on prepared grounds and industrial zones with built infrastructure that are being set up.
It transpired at the meeting that preparations are under way for Bogdanov's visit to the Republic of Korea before the end of this year, during which he will meet with strategic investors.
