General Toshevo in Bulgaria, Taraclia in Moldova Participate in Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021-2027 Programme

The Bulgarian municipality of General Toshevo and the District Council of Taraclia, Moldova, are participating in the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021-2027 programme. On Thursday, representatives of the Bulgarian town arrived in Taraclia to get to know their partners better and to discuss the programme and the project preparation.

The project coordinator on the Bulgarian side, Valentin Dimitrov, said that the projects to be implemented under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021-2027 programme are focused on green transition. Four municipalities are partnering in it - General Toshevo, Murfatlar in Romania, Bolhrad in Ukraine and Taraclia in Moldova. Under the project, each of the partners will improve and create new green infrastructure, with focus on General Toshevo and Bolhrad on creating green infrastructure in the central parts of the cities," Dimitrov said, stressing that all activities are aimed at improving the state of the environment, quality of life and creating good conditions for active recreation of citizens.

The winners will be announced this autumn.
