site.btaBella Bulgaria Launches First Rendang Padang Factory in Europe

The first in Europe factory specialized in the production of authentic rendang Padang was launched recently in the southern village of Kostievo, Plovdiv region. Bella Bulgaria, which operates in the field of alimentary products, will produce 30 tonnes a month of the delicious Indonesian dish of slow-cooked beef with spices, herbs and other ingredients according to an authentic recipe from Western Sumatra, the money.bg e-zine reported.

The USD 3.0 million investment includes the purchase of new food technologies, production facilities and logistic partnership for distributing the product in Europe and the Middle East.

The product itself is part of Indonesia's cultural heritage, one of its national dishes distinguished among CNN's World's 50 Best Foods.

The project was implemented on the initiative of the Indonesian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Iwan Bogananta, in support of Indonesian President Joko Widodo's Indonesia – Spice Up the World programme.
