Los Angeles, March 15 (BTA) - Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova
has been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the
current Academy Awards campaign, the US Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences wrote on its website: www.oscars.org.

Bakalova earned the nod for her part in "Borat Subsequent
Moviefilm." She will compete in her category against Glenn Close
 ("Hillbilly Elegy"), Olivia Colman ("The Father"), Amanda
Seyfried ("Mank") and Yuh-Jung Youn ("Minari").

The 93rd Academy Awards have been postponed by about two months
due to the coronavirus pandemic and will be telecast on April
25.

A week ago, Bakalova won the Critics' Choice Award for Best
Supporting Actress, for the same role. On February 3, "Borat"
also earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a
