site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 236 New Cases, Vaccination at 11.5%

Sofia, June 2 (BTA) - A total of 13,258 tests identified 236 new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ on Wednesday. The test positivity rate now stands at 1.7 per cent.

The active cases are 17,000, cimparable to lest September levels. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 2,942, including 322 in intensive care.

Another 1,582 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours.

Twenty-six fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 17,726.

With 18,064 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 1,383,971 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 571,000 who are fully vaccinated. This adds up to 11.5 per cent of adult Bulgarians./LN/BR
