Tourism Exhibition in Ukraine
Sofia, October 5 (BTA) - Bulgaria is participating in the 27th Ukraine International Travel Market (UITM 2021) international tourism exhibition in Kyiv on October 5 and 6, the Tourism Ministry said.
Bulgaria will have an information stand at UITM 2021, set up and run by the Tourism Ministry and two Bulgarian tour operators. The aim is to continue advertising Bulgaria on the Ukrainian market as an attractive tourist destination and as a place for year-round recreation. Bulgaria's main selling points will be ski vacations and New Year eve parties.
UITM is the largest autumn tourist exhibition on the Ukrainian market. It is designed for professionals and the general public, offering mainly New Year's programmes and opportunities for winter holidays. Bulgaria has been participating in the exhibition since 2007.
Ukraine is a generating market for Bulgaria, and for the period January - June 2021 the number of tourists from Ukraine was 83,972, which is an increase of 103.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2020, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
