Government Debt at 22.8% of
GDP in
July 2014


Sofia, September 1 (BTA) - At the end of July 2014, the
Bulgarian government debt stood at 9,424.2 million euro,
including 3,925.3 million euro internal debt and 5,498.9 million
euro external debt, the Finance Ministry said here Monday.

The total debt was 22.8 per cent of the GDP (13.3 per cent for
the external debt and 9.5 per cent for the domestic debt).

The structure of the foreign debt included 58.8 per cent of
euro-denominated debt. 31.2 per cent was in leva, 9.1 per cent
in US dollars and 0.9 per cent in other currencies.

Government debt payments in July stood at 622.1 million leva.

The government-guaramteed debt in July totalled 372.1 million
euro, including 21.3 million euro in domestic government
guarantees. The government-guranteed-debt-to-GDP ratio was 0.9
