Reformist Bloc's Zelenogorski:
"Patriotic Front Has
Distinct Euro-Atlantic Values"

Pleven, North Central Bulgaria, December 27 (BTA) - "As far as I
am concerned, the Patriotic Front espouses clearly expressed
Euro-Atlantic values and shares the civilization choice that
Bulgaria has made," Reformist Bloc Co-floor Leader Nayden
Zelenogorski said here on Saturday. He was reacting to a
statement by Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader
Lyutvi Mestan, who said on Friday that the Reformist Bloc and
the Patriotic Front have formed a mini anti-MRF coalition, the
two entities are "just the right match for each other", and
their alliance is "on the whole retrograde" and distorts
democracy in Bulgaria.

"Apparently, the MRF need an enemy and they see the enemy
personified in the Patriotic Front and the Reformist Bloc,"
Zelenogorski said. "We regard the Patriotic Front as a patriotic
entity which has nothing to do with Mr Mestan's attempt to
denigrate them as xenophobes and racists," he specified.

"We will do everything possible so that the coalition would be
stable, the parliamentary majority would be stable, and we
target a full term in office," Zelenogorski asserted.

"We share with the Patriotic Front the same views regarding out
Atlantic and European orientation: I find almost no differences
in our political ideologies," Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev
said in Pleven. Nenchev chairs the Bulgarian Agrarian National
Union, which is part of the Reformist Bloc coalition. PK/LG
