Better Laws Can Help Save Lv 1,000 Mln-Plus, Administrative Reform Council
Finds in Analysis

Sofia, January 14 (BTA) - Statutory instruments' impact
assessment will save the business community more than 1,000
million leva in direct and indirect spending over the next three
years, Administrative Reform Council Secretary Anton Gerounov
said at the year's first meeting of the Council.

The Council, which is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for
Coalition Policy and Public Administration Roumyana Buchvarova,
includes the heads of all ministries and of other government
institutions, representatives of the regional governors and of
the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of
Bulgaria.

The Roadmap for Implementation of the Strategy for Development
of the State Administration in the 2015-2020 Period was approved
at the meeting. The implementation will be financed mainly by
Operational Programme Good Governance. The measures set in the
Roadmap include enhancing partnership between civil society and
the Government, and to this end citizens will get easier access
to public information and public consultation processes will be
optimized.

Buchvarova envisages the introduction, in partnership with the
National Assembly, of a statutory instruments' impact
assessment.
