Cabinet Nominates Georgi Kostov for Interior Ministry Chief Secretary

Sofia, March 11 (BTA) - The Council of Ministers proposes that
the head of State decree the removal from office of Svetlozar
Lazarov, who resigned as Interior Ministry Chief Secretary last
week, and the appointment of Georgi Kostov on this post, the
Government Information Service said Wednesday.

Kostov is currently Deputy Chief Secretary and meets all the
requirements of the Interior Ministry Act to become chief
secretary, the press release reads.

The Council of Ministers also proposes that the head of State
decree the removal from office of Vladimir Pisanchev, who
tendered his resignation as Chairman of the State Agency for
National Security (SANS) last week. Until the appointment of a
new chairperson, the SANS will be headed by Deputy SANS Chair
Nedyalko Nedyalkov.
