Joint Tactical Training with US Army to Start at Novo Selo on March 12

Sliven, Southeastern Bulgaria, March 12 (BTA) - A joint tactical
training will start at the Novo Selo Training Area near Sliven
on March 15 with the participation of US Army resources,
Bulgarian Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev told a news
conference at the BTA Press Club in Sliven on Thursday.

The exercise will involve up to 350 service persons with the
requisite equipment, weapons and supplies, up to 50 units of
military equipment, including four M1 tanks, up to 30 armoured
infantry fighting vehicles, up to 30 units of support and
logistics materiel, up to 30 military aircraft with their crews,
etc. Bulgarian human and material resources will also
participate in the training.

National Assembly Defence Committee member Korman Ismailov, who
also took part in the news conference, said that "there are
political circles in this country which openly serve foreign
anti-NATO interests and wage a propaganda disinformation war."
In his words, "this shakes the conviction of certain segments of
the public about the importance of the Alliance for Bulgaria's
national security".
