Bourgas Airport Becomes First in Bulgaria in Handling Latest Generation Boeing Cargo Planes

Bourgas, on the Black Sea, April 2 (BTA) - The Bourgas Airport
becomes the first one in Bulgaria to start handling latest
generation cargo air planes of the Boeing group B747-800F,
sources from the airport said Thursday. The first such plane to
land in Bulgaria was serviced with a new specialized platform
the airport purchased several months ago. So far the airport was
able to handle Boeings of the type B747-400F.

In the summer charter flight season the Bourgas Airport will
welcome for the first time in Bulgaria the latest generation of
passenger aircraft of the group of Boeing B787. The plane will
bring holiday makers from Britain.

The Bourgas Airport starts the new summer season with many
improvements. In the past six months alone, 3 million leva were
invested in rehabilitation, repair works and improvement of
separate parts of the airport.
