site.btaDefence Minister Awards US Deputy Chief of Mission as Her Term in Office Ends

Caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov Tuesday awarded US Deputy Chief of Mission in Sofia Andrea Brouillette-Rodriguez in relation to the end of her term in office in Bulgaria. She received an honorary plaque of the Defence Ministry, the Ministry said in a press release.

Zapryanov expressed his personal gratitute to Brouillette-Rodriguez for the joint work within her diplomatic mission in Bulgaria, noting her significant contribution to the development of the bilateral cooperation in defence. She noted the traditionally good relations with Bulgaria and expressed satisfaction with the successful interaction between Bulgarian and US experts.

Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the joint exercises and training of the Bulgarian and US armed forces, the decisions taken at the recent NATO Summit in Washington, the aid provided to Ukraine, and the actions taken for its continuation.
