Bulgarian Prime Minister Meets with Belgian Foreign Minister

Sofia, September 8 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko
Borissov and Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs Didier
Reynders praised the trade and economic relations between their
countries during a meeting in Sofia, the Bulgarian Cabinet's
Press Service reported on Tuesday.

The meeting took place during Reynders' official visit to
Bulgaria at the invitation of Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov.

Borissov said Bulgaria has an interest in deepening its trade
and economic cooperation with Belgium. He said his country is
seeking to attract more investment and hopes that Belgian
companies will contribute actively to local projects in the
fields of infrastructure, energy, transport, the environment and
 telecommunications, among others.

Borissov and Reynders discussed Bulgaria's partnership with
Belgium in the EU and NATO, the migrants issue and initiatives
of current importance for the EU, including the "Juncker" plan.
They noted the good cooperation between the two countries'
defence ministries, interior ministries and police authorities.
