Danube Bridge Repairs Cause Trucks to Line Up for Miles

Rousse, on the Danube, February 23 (BTA) - Trucks have been lining up for miles at the Danube Bridge checkpoint in Rousse over the last two days as the bridge is being repaired on the Romanian side, the Bulgarian Border Police reported on Tuesday morning.

The repairs were resumed at the end of last week. Vehicles travelling in either direction are only allowed to pass at intervals of 20 minutes. All systems are in operation, the Border Police said.
