Bulgaria, China Sign Agreements in Air, Water Transport

Shanghai/Sofia, March 6 (BTA) - A cooperation agreement was signed between the State-owned Chinese company Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co., Ltd. (ZIH) and a Bulgarian company, during Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Anton Ginev's visit to China, the Transport Ministry said in a press release on Sunday.

The document provides for cooperation and joint operation of the Zhengzhou-Bourgas line, including with a Bulgarian ferry, as a main part of the new Silk Road. In Bourgas (on the Black Sea), the containers will be loaded on a unit train to Hamburg. The cargo's route, which includes a ferry service, is Henan - Kazakhstan - the Caspian Sea - Baku - Georgia - the Black Sea.

ZIH works in the field of transport and logistics, and its representatives have already visited Bulgaria's functioning ports in order to become acquainted with their technical condition. Ginev's meeting with ZIH's representatives was part of his visit to the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Zhengzhou, which took place between March 2-6, the Transport Ministry said.

An agreement between Sofia Airport and a Chinese company was also signed in Ginev's presence. The Bulgarian Airport will receive a software product, consisting of a system for human resources management while servicing aircraft.

The software product will save time in communications with the goal of improving work efficiency and reducing the Airport's costs. The transfer of data and information within Sofia Airport will be facilitated. The product's introduction and maintenance will be free of charge for the first five years. The software is currently used in Shanghai's third largest airport, the press release said.
