Fifteen Iraqi Migrants Detained near Haskovo

Haskovo, Southern Bulgaria, March 19 (BTA) - Fifteen Iraqi nationals were detained during a police operation in the southern town Haskovo on Saturday. Five of them were children.

The migrants were found in an outbuilding at a dam near the village of Kirovo pole, accompanied by a 25-year old local man. Two more Bulgarian men, 22 and 20, who were helping the Iraqi migrants, were also detained.

The Iraqis have been handed to the migration authorities and their Bulgarian helpers have been detained.
