Children's Choir from Rousse Wins First Prize in Italy
Rousse, on the Danube, July 17 (BTA) - The Danube Waves choir has won the first prize at the 12th Guiseppe Zelioli festival of youth choirs in the Italian town of Lecco.
The children's choir from Rousse performed 24 works of Eastern orthodox and Western European religious and polyphonic music. Some were included in a high mass performed at the closing of the festival in the Basilica di San Nicolo and broadcast live on RAI Uno. Participants in the festival could also demonstrate the musical traditions of their peoples at a special folklore night.
