Energy Ministry Invites Rosatom Expertsto Set Up Working Group on Belene Project

Sofia, August 9 (BTA) - Energy Minister Temenouzhka Petkova has sent a letter to Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Director General Sergey Kiriyenko to select the members of a working group on the  Belene N-plant project.

The Bulgarian delegation will include the executive directors and experts from the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the National Electric Company. Minister Petkova extended an invitation to Russian experts to visit Bulgaria between August 15 and 30 for comprehensive talks on nuclear cooperation.

Bulgaria and Russia will set up a joint working group which will review possible scenarios for the Belene N-plant following the decision of the arbitration court in Geneva, the Ministry said. The experts will consider in detail options that are of mutual interest to both sides and will put forward a solution in the shortest time. PK/PP
