Nine Election-related Pre-trial Proceedings Opened

Sofia, November 7 (BTA) - The prosecuting magistracy has opened nine pre-trial proceedings and 130 preliminary checks nationwide related to the elections for president and the national referendum, sources from the magistracy said Monday.

Checks are being conducted in respect of all alerts about violations of the political rights of the citizens.

Five of the nine pre-trial proceedings concern vote buying, and four, documents with false content.

Six of the proceedings are opened in Sofia, two in the southern city of Plovdiv, and one in Bourgas, on the Black Sea. There are 84 refusals to start pre-trial proceedings.
