Sarafovo Airport Bus Bombing Trial Fails to Start

Sofia, November 10 (BTA) - The panel of judges in charge of the trial over the Sarafovo Airport bus bombing did not proceed with the case after a large number of the Israeli nationals that were injured in it were not properly summoned. The prosecutors said they are continuing to try to track them down.

The next hearing is scheduled for December 12.

The July 18, 2012, bombing of a bus at Bourgas Sarafovo Airport in Bulgaria killed five Israeli holiday-makers, their Bulgarian bus driver and the suspected suicide bomber.

Lebanese national Meliad Farah and Hassan El Hadj Hassan, who has dual Canadian and Lebanese citizenship, have been charged over the bombing in absentia. Both are wanted by Interpol.
