Tsetska Tsacheva: "I Voted
for Bulgaria to Remain
Factor of Stability"

Sofia, November 13 (BTA) - "I voted for Bulgaria to remain a
factor of stability - we need to press on," presidential
candidate Tsetska Tsacheva said after casting her ballot in
Sunday's runoff.

"The last thing Bulgaria needs is international isolation,
halted EU funding, denied European solidarity. For the sake of
our children, for our own sake, we need to press on," Tsacheva
said.

"I am a competitor and a fighter that sees confrontations to the
end. A confrontation can feature many battles. Today is the
last battle - and I will win," Tsacheva said.

She said the biggest challenge facing the president-elect would
be bridging the existing differences which are beyond normal
proportions. "There should be unity, we can have our differences
in terms of ideological messages as is the case with the
different political parties, but for the sake of national
interests we should stand united. Bulgaria was strong, Bulgaria
had the respect of the European nations and its neighbors when
it was united. That is the biggest challenge for the head of
state. And, of course, defeating populism. It is enjoyable to
send out pleasant-sounding messages, which are delightful to
hear but which are unfeasible right at this moment," Tsacheva
said.

"Not once during this campaign did I indulge in populism and I
do not intend to act any other way in the future. I responded in
an open, honest manner. People know about me, they got to know
me, that is why today I'm an optimist," Tsacheva said. RUM
