Radev Wins 59.37 Per Cent, Tsacheva 36.16 Per Cent Based on 100 Per Cent Count - Central Election Commission

Sofia, November 14 (BTA) - Now that 100 per cent of the constituency commission tally sheets have been processed, the independent pair of candidates supported by the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Rumen Radev and Iliana Iotova, garnered 2,063,032 valid votes or 59.37 per cent of the total cast in Sunday's second round of Bulgaria's presidential elections, the Central Election Commission said.

The candidates nominated by the ruling GERB Party, Tsetska Tsacheva, and her running mate Plamen Manoushev received 1,256,480 votes or 36.16 per cent.

In Bulgaria, the winner took 59.59 per cent, against 35.93 per cent for the GERB candidate. Abroad, the margin between the contenders was narrower: 52.24 per cent for Radev and 43.52 per cent for Tsacheva.

A total of 155,398 voters (4.48 per cent in Bulgaria and 4.23 per cent abroad) validly marked the "None Of The Above" square on their ballots.

As many as 3,540,829 Bulgarian citizens, or 50.3 per cent of eligible voters, went to the polls at home and abroad on Sunday. The turnout abroad was much higher: 108,136 voters or 87.11 per cent.
