Bulgaria Participates in Major Romanian Tourism Fair

Bucharest, November 19 (BTA) - Bulgaria is presenting itself as an attractive tourist destination at the fall edition of the 36th Romanian Tourism Fair (TTR), which is taking place in Bucharest's Romexpo Exhibition Centre between November 17 and 20, the Ministry of Tourism said on Saturday.

Thirteen specialized companies and municipalities display offers and tourist products on an 80 sq m information stand, organized by the Ministry.

The services in the hottest demand at the Bulgarian stand are seaside vacations, sightseeing tours, pilgrimage tourism, routes to the Danube cities, mountain tourism, city tours, and hydrotherapy and spa, which are combined with conventional vacation packages. The most attractive Bulgarian city is the country's medieval capital, Veliko Turnovo. Visitors are also attracted by Bulgarian wine tasting.

Romania is a key target market for the Bulgarian tourism industry, and at over 986,000 visits and a growth of 4 per cent, Romanians topped the ranking of foreign tourists in Bulgaria last year. Between January and September 2016, Romania retained this position, with over 872,000 visits and nearly 12 per cent growth.
