Interior Ministers of Bulgaria,
Greece, Turkey Open
Trilateral Contact Centre for Police and Customs Cooperation

Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, November 25 (BTA) - Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Roumyana Buchvarova and her counterparts of Greece and Turkey, Nikolaos Toskas and Suleyman Soylu, opened here Friday a new trilateral contact centre for police and customs cooperation.

Joint teams will exchange information and analyze it which will shorten the time for reaction in the event of problems at the border.

Buchvarova said that the inflow of migrants since the start of the year has halved, noting that this has been aided a lot by the fence Bulgaria built along the border with Turkey.

Soylu said that Turkey will not allow "ultimatums and criticism from the EU" because his country makes a huge effort to contain the migratory flow and to avert tension in respect of Greece and Bulgaria. LY/ZH
