Bulgarian Socialist Party Leader Ninova Elected Vice President of  Socialist International

Bogota/Sofia, March 3 (BTA) - Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Kornelia Ninova was elected Vice President of the Socialist International during the 25th congress of the organization taking place in Columbia, BSP said in a press release Friday.

Ninova was nominated for the post personally by the organization's Secretary General Luis Ayala.

Participating in the congress are representatives of 153 political parties. On the agenda of the event are global conflicts and ways to settle and avert them. Socialist International President and Secretary General, Georgios Papandreou and Luis Ayala respectively were re-elected for a new term.
