PACE to Observe Parliamentary Elections in Bulgaria

Brussels/Strasbourg, March 22 (BTA corr. Nikolay Jeliazkov) - A 15-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Marie-Christine Dalloz, will visit Bulgaria from 24 to 27 March 2017 to observe the conduct of the parliamentary elections there, alongside observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, PACE said on Wednesday.

The delegation will meet with the Chairperson and members of the Central Election Commission, leaders and representatives of the main political parties and parliamentary groups, as well as representatives of NGOs and the media, before observing the ballot on 26 March.

A press conference is scheduled in Sofia on Monday 27 March.
