site.btaHouseholds' Deposits Amount to BGN 45,800 Mln by End-June

Sofia, August 10 (BTA) - The number of deposits of sectors Non-financial corporations and Households and Non-profit institutions, serving households (NPISHs) was 10,640 million at the end of June 2017, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said. They decreased by 3.5 per cent in comparison with June 2016, against a 4.2 per cent annual decline at the end of March 2017. Their total amount was 64,432 million leva, and it increased by 6.9 per cent on an annual basis compared to a 7.4 per cent annual growth at the end of March 2017. At the end of June 2017, compared to the end of the previous quarter, the number of those deposits decreased by 0.4 per cent while their amount increased by 1.1 per cent. 

The number of deposits of sector Non-financial corporations was 606 thousand at the end of June 2017, increasing by 5 per cent on an annual basis, compared to an annual growth of 4.6 per cent at the end of March 2017. They amounted to 19,632 million leva at the end of the second quarter of 2017 rising by 9.7 per cent on an annual basis, compared to an annual growth of 10.1 per cent at the end of the previous quarter. In comparison with the end of March 2017, the number of those deposits increased by 1.5 per cent and their amount - by 2.3 per cent. 

At the end of the second quarter of 2017 the number of deposits of sector Households and NPISHs decreased by 3.9 per cent on an annual basis, reaching 10.034 million, compared to a 4.6 per cent annual decline at the end of March 2017. At the end of June 2017, these deposits amounted to 45,800 million leva, rising by 5.7 per cent on an annual basis, compared to an annual increase of 6.4 per cent at the end of March 2017. At the end of June 2017, in comparison with the end of the previous quarter, the number of those deposits decreased by 0.6 per cent while their amount increased by 0.6 per cent. 

The number of loans granted to sectors Non-financial corporations and Households and NPISHs at the end of the second quarter of 2017 was 2.765 million. It increased by 1 per cent on an annual basis, compared to a 1.7 per cent annual growth at the end of March 2017. Their total amount was 50,370 million leva, increasing by 3.5 per cent on an annual basis compared to a 3.3 per cent annual rise at the end of March 2017. 

At the end of June 2017, compared to the end of the previous quarter, the number of these loans decreased by 0.04 per cent while their amount increased by 1.3 per cent. 

The number of loans granted to sector Non-financial corporations was 152 thousand at the end of the second quarter of 2017. Their number increased by 9.3 per cent on an annual basis at the end of June 2017, compared to a 7 per cent annual growth at the end of the previous quarter. The amount of these loans rose by 2 per cent on an annual basis, reaching 31,102 million leva, compared to a 2.5 per cent annual increase at the end of March 2017. 

In comparison with the end of the previous quarter, the number of loans granted to sector Non-financial corporations rose by 3.7 per cent and their amount increased by 0.5 per cent. 

At the end of June 2017, the number of loans granted to sector Households and NPISHs increased by 0.5 per cent on an annual basis, reaching 2.614 million, compared to a 1.4 per cent annual growth at the end of the first quarter of 2017. The amount of these loans increased by 6 per cent on an annual basis, reaching 19,268 million leva, compared to a 4.7 per cent annual increase at the end of the previous quarter. 

At the end of June 2017 the number of these loans decreased by 0.3 per cent while their amount rose by 2.6 per cent in comparison with the end of March 2017.
