site.btaBulgarian Universities Enrol 351 Applicants from Traditional Bulgarian Communities in Ukraine, Serbia, Kosovo, Kazakhstan

Sofia, April 11 (BTA) - Out of a total of 451 applicants from the traditional Bulgarian communities in Ukraine, Serbia, Kosovo and Kazakhstan, 351 (222 from Ukraine, 100 from Serbia, 27 from Kosovo and 2 from Kazakhstan) have been admitted to post-secondary bachelor's and master's degree programmes at Bulgarian higher schools for the 2017/2018 academic year, the Education and Science Ministry said on Friday.

The applicants have sought admission in almost all specialties. Most of those wishing to study in Bulgaria have opted for medicine, computer science, economy, tourism, transport and political science.

The young people of the Bulgarian communities have applied for admission to the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, the medical universities of Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Pleven, the University of Economics in Varna and the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. There are more applicants from Ukraine this year.
