Sofia, September 7 (BTA) - Some 10,000 people are expected to receive training in high technology, ICT and the processing industry meeting employers' demand under a Specific Trainings procedure in Operational Programme Human Resources Development, Bulgarian Deputy Labour and Social Policy Minister Zornitsa Roussinova told journalists here on Thursday.

She specified that employers will be supported by 10 million leva to train their staff for their specific needs.

The Deputy Minister hopes that unemployed will be activated under this scheme as well, such as teachers of mathematics, physics and biology who are registered as jobless but whose mathematical skills can help them pursue a career in the IT sector.

Another scheme, Support for Entrepreneurship, enables vocational training centres, social partners, financial and non-financial institutions to set up local-level consortia for training of people wishing to start their own business. The allocation for this scheme is 5 million leva, shared among the six planning regions so as to avoid the concentration of consulting services in the large cities.
