The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) will receive a special award of the decade (2014-2024) from Sofia Library for sustainable media partnership. The tenth anniversary award ceremony will take place on January 21, the Library team said.

In addition to BTA, a special award in the Media category will also go to the bTV, Nova TV, and the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).

The annual prizes of Sofia Library were established in 2014.

This year's edition of the awards includes the categories Reader of the Year, Writer of the Year, Poet of the Year, Most Read Author of Scientific and Popular Literature, Most Read Author of Children's Literature, and Media. With the anniversary edition in 2025, special prizes will also be awarded for the Most Read Author of the Decade (2014 - 2024). Their laureates are Georgi Gospodinov, Zachary Karabashliev, Stefan Tsanev, Zdravka Evtimova and Prof. Tsocho Boyadzhiev.

The prize for Writer of the Year will be awarded to Viktoria Beshliiska. 

The award for the most read author of non-fiction is for Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov.

The most read poet is Georgi Konstantinov.
