Brussels/Sofia, March 22 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred Thursday with European Council President Donald Tusk. Borissov said at the meeting, quoted by the information service of the Bulgarian government, that the March 26 summit of EU and Turkish leaders in Varna, on the Black Sea, is necessary for the normalization of the relations between the EU and Ankara.

The two officials were unanimous that the talks in Varna between the European leaders and the President of Turkey are pressing with a view of restoring the dialogue with Turkey. "We need to have ordered relations with our neighbour Turkey. The dialogue with the Turkish President must be continued," Borissov said.

Borissov and Tusk informed each other of their positions in respect of the current political topics in Europe to be considered at the European Council meeting on March 22-23.
